Real Madrid playmaker Martin Odegaard is reportedly open to rejoining Arsenal on a permanent deal this summer.
The Norwegian was on loan with the Gunners earlier this year, registering two goals and two assists from 20 appearances.
It was initially suggested that he would return to play for Madrid, but he is now seriously considering a move away from the club.
Carlo Ancelotti has refused to guarantee him a starting spot, and The Telegraph claims that the 22-year-old could leave for £34m.
The Gunners are yet to make an approach. They are waiting to receive the green light from Los Blancos before making their move.
Arsenal have made three signings this summer in Nuno Tavares, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Ben White for a combined £75m.
They are expected to land more recruits this month. A new goalkeeper, creative midfielder and striker are among the priorities.
Before that, they may need to recoup some funds. They recently sanctioned the sale of Joe Willock to Newcastle United for £25m.
