Manchester City are set to battle it out with Manchester United to sign Declan Rice during next summer's transfer window.
The England international has spent his entire playing career with the Hammers, but he is eyeing a big-club move.
Rice is keen to play in the Champions League. It has been reported that the current season could be his final one with the Hammers.
According to The Sun, Rice could be subject of interest from both City and United at the end of the current campaign.
The English champions consider Rice as a replacement for Fernandinho, who could retire when his contract expires next summer.
Meanwhile, United are yearning for an elite defensive midfielder. Rice is reportedly the priority target for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Rice has three years remaining on his contract with the Hammers. There is an option to extend his stay for another 12 months.
The Hammers could demand around £100m to part ways with the midfielder, who has also been on the radar of Chelsea in the past.
