Fagan ban for Arbeloa stamp

Fagan ban for Arbeloa stamp

06 September 2007 - 22:24

Derby County's striker Craig Fagan has been banned for four matches for stamping on Liverpool defender Alvaro Arbeloa. Fagan had initially appealed against his ban.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • Fagan was found guilty by an independent commission on Thursday and given an automatic three-match ban, with an additional game for making what was considered a frivolous appeal.

In the game which Liverpool won 6-0, referee Alan Wiley actually failed to see the incident therefore did not send off the player.
