Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has given coach Javier Aguirre his backing and the board's dreaded vote of confidence despite a shock 3-1 defeat to Real Betis last weekend.
"I completely deny it, nothing has been sounded out," he told Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo when questioned on a change of coach.
"We have confidence in Aguirre and we have bet on him for the last two years.
