Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in landing West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Sam Johnstone next summer.
Johnstone was heavily linked with the north London giants this summer, but they declined to meet the reported £15m price tag.
They ended up signing Pierluigi Gollini on loan from Atalanta with an obligation to buy for £13m if he makes 20 appearances this term.
According to Football Insider, Spurs could return for Johnstone next year amid the uncertainty over Hugo Lloris' future with the club.
The club captain has been a solid performer over the past nine seasons, but he could leave for free when his contract expires next summer.
Spurs are reportedly fearing the worst. They are keeping tabs on the performances of Johnstone with a view to landing his services.
Johnstone has only 10 months left on his contract. He will be a free agent next summer unless he agrees a new deal with the Baggies.
Southampton are also in the mix to sign the former Manchester United graduate, but Spurs have the edge with their long-term interest.
