German forward Timo Werner is considering his Chelsea future amid his reduced playing time this season.
The 25-year-old had a mixed debut campaign with the Blues last term, bagging 12 goals and 15 assists from 52 games.
His average form contributed to the club's decision to sign Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian is now the first-choice striker.
Werner has been on the bench in recent weeks. Last weekend was the only occasion when he started alongside Lukaku.
According to The Mail, the forward is already assessing his options, and may leave the Blues at the end of the campaign.
Werner is optimistic about proving himself with the Blues, but opportunities could be at a premium over the entire season.
A return to Bundesliga appears the ideal destination for him. Bayern Munich are open to the prospect of signing him.
They attempted to pursue his services in the past, and they are now keen on making a fresh approach for his signature.
