Martins to sign new deal

Obafemi Martins looks set to agree a new deal with Newcastle for four more years after agreeing a new contract with the club - expected to be around £40,000 per week.

"Oba has been treated so well," his agent Chris Nathaniel said in the Daily Mirror.



"There are just a couple of things to sort out."



Martins has performed well in recent weeks and has been very important in Newcastle's switch in form; partly because of his triple partnership with Mark Viduka and Michael Owen up front.
