Manchester City have no desire to part ways with Raheem Sterling during the January transfer window, according to The Sun.
The England international has seen limited playing time this season after the arrival of Jack Grealish from Aston Villa.
It was anticipated that Grealish would play in midfield, but he has instead been a regular starter from the left-wing position.
This has had a direct impact on Sterling's game time. He has been restricted to just two starts in the Premier League this term.
It was recently claimed that the winger was 'crazy to join' Barcelona when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.
However, according to The Sun, manager Pep Guardiola considers Sterling as an integral figure, and a mid-season exit is unlikely.
Sterling is also prepared to fight for his place, and will decide whether to sign a new contract depending on his minutes.
The 26-year-old is approaching the final 18 months of his deal. He will be sold next summer if the contract stand-off continues.
