Chelsea are open to re-signing Eden Hazard from Real Madrid, a report from El Nacional claims.

  • The Belgian spent seven successful seasons with the Blues before he joined Los Blancos for around €100m.

He has since struggled to make an impact amid frequent injuries. He has been restricted to just over 50 appearances.

According to El Nacional, Los Blancos are prepared to cut their losses on Hazard to recoup funds for future transfers.

It is added that the Blues would welcome the prospect of re-signing the Belgian if an opportunity arises in the next window.

Blues owner Roman Abramovich remains a huge admirer of Hazard, and believes he can revive his form with a comeback.

Hazard was a true match winner during his time at the Blues. He bagged 110 goals and 92 assists from 352 appearances for the club.

The 30-year-old previously said that he would be open to returning to the club, and the opportunity may arise in the near future.
