The Frenchman has played just 72 minutes of Premier League football this term, and there are doubts over his future.

His current deal with the Gunners expires next summer, and it has been widely reported that he could leave on a free transfer.

Atletico were eager to land his services in 2017, but a move failed to materialise after they were handed a transfer ban.

The marksman eventually joined the Gunners, but he has since been linked with the Spanish champions on numerous occasions.

Atletico boss Diego Simeone continues to remain an admirer of the former Lyon star, and the club are likely to make a fresh move.

They can negotiate a pre-contract with Lacazette in January as things stand. Sevilla could be potential competitors for his signature.

Lacazette will want assurances of a starting role in addition to a pay rise on his current salary of around £180,000-a-week.
