Manchester United have identified Wilfred Ndidi as a potential candidate to bolster their midfield next year.
The Red Devils have made an average start to the Premier League campaign, and they are currently nine points adrift of the top of the table.
Their midfield performances have been scrutinised this term with Scott McTominay and Fred making multiple positional errors.
Hence, the club are being touted to sign a new defensive midfielder, and The Mirror claims that Ndidi could be an option for the club.
Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has recently been touted as the favourite to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the club's head coach.
Rodgers reportedly has a verbal agreement, and Ndidi could be one of the prime targets for the Northern Irishman after his arrival.
The hierarchy have stayed patient with Solskjaer recently, but the recent 2-0 Manchester derby defeat may have changed their stance.
With the international break coming up, the Red Devils board probably feel it's the right time to make a change at the helm.
