Barcelona are keen on signing Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette during the winter transfer window, El Nacional claims.
The Frenchman has eight months left on his contract, and he can leave on a free transfer at the end of the campaign.
Neither the club nor the player have plans to discuss a renewal. It has been claimed that he could also be sold in January.
According to El Nacional, the Blaugrana want a new striker in the New Year amid the injury absence of Sergio Aguero.
Lacazette is seen as a viable target with vast experience. The Gunners are willing to sell him for around €10 million.
Blaugrana president Joan Laporta is prepared to meet the price as he wants to provide new boss Xavi with quality winter signings.
Lacazette has also been a long-term target for Atletico Madrid. However, the Spanish champions prefer to sign him for free next summer.
The Catalan giants could lure him ahead of Atletico in January, but they may need to negotiate a raise on his £180,000-a-week wages.
