Hazard to leave Real Madrid in January?

Real Madrid set price tag for Eden Hazard

29 November 2021 - 20:29

Real Madrid are ready to part ways with former Chelsea star Eden Hazard when the transfer window reopens in January.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao

  • The Belgian has struggled with numerous injuries during his two-and-a-half years at the club, and he has made just over 50 appearances.

The club bought him for an initial fee of around £87m, but they are now prepared to cut their losses with the player no longer in favour.

According to El Nacional, Los Blancos have set a £34m price tag for the Belgian, who has been linked with a return to Chelsea.

The Blues have not ruled out a reunion with the attacker, but they are only willing to sign him on a temporary agreement this winter.

Newcastle United are currently the only club willing to meet the price tag, considering his worrying injury record over the past two years.

Hazard may not welcome a move to the Magpies despite their Saudi-led takeover last month. They are currently rockbottom of the league.
