Serie A giants wont move for Arsenal striker

Aubameyang not wanted by Juventus

Serie A giants won't move for Arsenal striker

25 December 2021 - 20:17

Serie A giants Juventus have no plans of signing Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang next month.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • The Gabon international has been dropped from the matchday squad for the past four games after a disciplinary breach.

This has led to speculation that he could leave the Gunners in January. Juventus have been one of the clubs linked.

However, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Bianconeri appear unlikely to make a transfer approach next month.

The club are not keen on pursuing Aubameyang's signature, having previously spent big wages to sign Cristiano Ronaldo.

While Ronaldo was among the goals regularly, there was a change in the tactical system that hampered their league form.

The Turin giants want to avoid a repeat with Aubameyang. They consider him as a 'penalty box striker' rather than a complete one.

Aubameyang could return to the matchday squad for the Gunners when they face Norwich City away from home on Boxing Day.

Following that game, he is expected to join Gabon for their preparations ahead of the African Cup of Nations next month.
