Chelsea are reportedly considering a move for Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni next month.

The Blues are currently loaded with midfield options, but there is uncertainty over the long-term futures of three players.

Mateo Kovacic, N'Golo Kante and Jorginho are regular choices, but the club feel one of them could leave in 12 months.

According to Eurosport, Tchouameni has been earmarked as the long-term replacement. A winter bid is likely to be made.

The Blues were initially planning a summer move, but they may need to act fast with Juventus also keen on landing him.

The Bianconeri are eager to pursue his services next month, and the Blues may have to enter a bidding battle with them. 

Monaco are looking for at least £45 million to part ways with the midfielder, who has become a regular with France this year.

Tchouameni has also been linked with Bayern Munich, but the Bundesliga outfit are not exploring a mid-season deal.
