Man Utd reject Sevilla loan bid for Martial

Manchester United reject loan bid for wantaway attacker

28 December 2021 - 16:25

Manchester United have reportedly rejected a loan bid from Sevilla for wantaway forward Anthony Martial.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • The Frenchman is keen to leave the Red Devils next month amid his lack of regular playing time this season.

He has his sights on joining Sevilla, but the La Liga outfit are far off from meeting the Red Devils' demands.

United are open to loaning out Martial next month, provided they receive a loan fee and his wages are paid in full.

However, the Spanish outfit are not in a position to do so. They are only prepared to pay half of his current salary.

Hence, a loan deal appears unlikely. A permanent move could be on if Martial is ready to accept a significant pay-cut.

Barcelona were recently linked with his services, but they may have cooled their interest after landing Ferran Torres.

United value Martial at around £30 million. He was previously on Inter Milan's radar, but they are no longer interested.
