Arsenal are deemed favourites to sign Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak this month, according to El Nacional.
The 22-year-old was heavily linked with the Gunners over the summer, but a deal failed to materialise between the clubs.
Real Sociedad ended up extending his contract until 2026. They also increased his release clause from €70m to €90m.
Despite this, he continues to be linked with an exit, and it is reported that the Gunners are ready to land his services this winter.
Barcelona are also keen, but Sociedad have no plans of boosting the Blaugrana's pursuit of Champions League football.
They are reluctant to negotiate with the Catalan giants, but may have a different stance with the Gunners if an offer is made.
The Gunners are preparing for the departure of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has been dropped from first-team plans lately.
There is speculation that he could be sold this month. Newcastle United have been heavily linked with him in recent days.
