Manchester United have confirmed that Axel Tuanzebe has made his temporary move to Napoli for the season.
The centre-back was initially loaned out to Aston Villa last summer, but he made just nine appearances for them in all competitions.
The west Midlands outfit were happy to terminate his deal, and he has now joined Napoli on loan for the rest of the campaign.
United will receive around €600,000 for the loan transfer. They could receive a similar amount based on Napoli's league finish.
There is no option to buy for the Serie A club, but there is a verbal agreement. They will have the first option to sign him permanently.
Chris Smalling made a huge impression on loan at Roma previously before he joined them on a permanent deal from the Red Devils.
Tuanzebe will be hoping to make a similar impact in Naples such that he can secure his long-term future with the Italian heavyweights.
