Chelsea plan to integrate Armando Broja into their first-team plans next season, reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano claims.
The Albanian made a big impression for the Blues in pre-season, but he was still loaned out to fellow Premier League club Southampton.
He has since netted seven goals from just 19 games, and the Saints are already exploring the option of him permanently next summer.
However, according to Romano, the Blues are unlikely to entertain any transfer offers, and see Broja as a key part of their future plans.
Romelu Lukaku was signed as a marquee striker last summer. The Belgian has yet to make a significant impact in the Premier League.
The club are unlikely to spend on another marksman this summer, and would rather integrate Broja, who has impressed with his strong physique.
The youngster has been compared to Diego Costa for his style of play, and it remains to be seen whether he can become a Blues regular next term.
