Man Utd handed big injury boost for Aston Villa trip

14 January 2022 - 20:36

Manchester United have been handed a big injury boost ahead of their Premier League trip to Aston Villa on Saturday.

  • Chelsea have discussed move for Alejandro Garnacho
  • Spanish star has arrived in London to complete Arsenal transfer

  • The Red Devils were without Cristiano Ronaldo, Harry Maguire, Phil Jones and Jadon Sancho for the recent FA Cup tie versus Villa.

The quartet have all returned to training today, and Rangnick has confirmed that they are likely to make the matchday squad tomorrow.

The return of Cristiano Ronaldo is definitely a big boost for the club, who have netted just five goals in the last four games in all competitions.

They have been disappointing with their displays since the coronavirus outbreak, picking up just four points from the last three league games.

They were also poor in the FA Cup third round tie against Villa at home. The visitors were the better attacking side over the course of 90 minutes.

An early Scott McTominay goal decided the contest. Villa will be eyeing revenge when the Red Devils visit Villa Park tomorrow.
