Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has provided a positive injury update on Thiago Alcantara ahead of the FA Cup fifth round tie against Norwich City.
The Spaniard suffered a minor hamstring injury before the Carabao Cup final on Sunday, and was subsequently dropped from the matchday squad.
There were initial fears that he could be out for an extended period, but Klopp has brushed off rumours over a long-term absence for the midfielder.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, the German said that the setback is not severe, and he anticipates Thiago to return in the near future.
He has been ruled out for tomorrow's FA Cup tie, but Klopp has hinted that he could be available for the second leg of the Champions League last 16.
The Reds have a Premier League clash against West Ham United this weekend before they welcome Inter Milan for the European encounter.
Thiago may not be rushed back to the starting line-up, considering he has suffered multiple niggles already in his short Liverpool career.
