Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney has emerged as a surprise target for Real Madrid ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Scotland international is currently in his third campaign with the Gunners, where he has established himself as the regular left-back.
His performances have apparently caught the radar of Madrid. According to 90min, they could make an approach during the summer.
Los Blancos chief scout Juni Calafat has been keeping tabs on Tierney, and has recommended the 24-year-old to the club's hierarchy.
The Gunners have a good working relationship with Madrid, but it is unlikely that they will sell Tierney unless a significant bid is made.
Tierney and Nuno Tavares are presently the left-back options in the squad, but the latter has hardly played since the beginning of the year.
Tavares impressed in Tierney's injury absence earlier this campaign, and he was soon after dropped, having made multiple unforced errors.
The Gunners still don't have plans to reinforce the left-back department and have the belief that Tavares will come good in the long-term.
