Arsenal are prepared to discuss a new contract with Gabriel Magalhaes amid his impressive progress this campaign.

  • Chelsea urged to sign Man City star on free transfer
  • Chelsea squad want Xabi Alonso as manager

  • The Brazilian joined the Gunners from Lille in the summer of 2020, and had a good debut season with 23 league appearances.

He has already eclipsed that tally this term with 25 league outings. Gabriel has been ever-present since the start of September.

According to The Mirror, the north London club are now considering a new deal for Gabriel for his impressive showing.

The centre-back still has three years left on his deal, but the hierarchy are ready to reward him with a new improved contract.

Aside from Gabriel, the Gunners are prioritising a new contract for Bukayo Saka amid his sublime development in recent years.

The youngster currently has two years left on his £30,000-a-week deal. He could possibly treble his wages with the renewal.

Saka has no concerns over prolonging his stay, but it could be delayed until the end of the campaign to avoid any distractions.
