Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will reportedly urge the club to sign Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic this summer.
The Serbian has struggled over the past few years at Madrid where he has hardly played from the starting line-up.
With the exceptional form and fitness of Karim Benzema, he has been a fringe player with several cameo appearances.
According to Serbian outlet Blic, Los Blancos are willing to part ways with Jovic this summer and would accept an initial loan.
The Gunners are one of the main admirers of the 24-year-old. Arteta believes the striker can become the club's new 'goal machine'.
The north London club are willing to pay his £83,000-a-week wages, and may look to loan him with an option to buy for £25m.
Jovic's career has seen a significant decline from the highs at Eintracht Frankfurt. He netted 28 goals during the 2019/20 season.
Despite this, there has been plenty of transfer interest. AC Milan are interested, and the Gunners need to act quick this summer.
