Manchester United are looking at the prospect of signing Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite during this summer's transfer window.
The Red Devils will have a new manager at the helm this summer. As per reports, Erik ten Hag has verbally agreed to join the club.
The Dutchman has built his reputation on grooming young players into future stars. The Red Devils may want to adopt a similar policy.
According to The Mail, Branthwaite is being closed watched by United, and there could be a formal offer made in the coming weeks.
The 19-year-old joined the Toffees from Carlisle two years ago, but he has made just 11 appearances for them in all competitions.
He has yet to make any significant contribution, but made the headlines in December with a vital equalising goal away at Chelsea.
The Toffees bought him for just £1 million, and they could be tempted to sell him for a big profit, considering their financial troubles.
United are said to be attracted by Branthwaite's aerial prowess. They are looking to add more physicality to their defence next term.
