Frings: we can win Euro 2008

Werder Bremen midfielder Torsten Frings is confident that Germany are able to win Euro 2008 for a fourth time. Frings has missed most of the season through injury but is nearly fully fit and ready to go for the tournament in Austria and Switzerland.

Frings is keen to play an important part of the side that last won the European tournament in 1996.



"We have what it is takes to be champions," said Frings on the German Football League (DFL) website.



"But we belong to a group of favorites which includes France, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands."
