Incoming Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is reportedly keen on signing Benfica striker Darwin Nunez this summer.
The Red Devils are expected to sign a new striker in the upcoming transfer window, and it has emerged that Nunez is the prime target.
According to Record, Benfica value their striker at €100 million and they would prefer to sanction his sale at the earliest possibility.
United are obviously one of his main admirers, but could face competition from Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain for his services.
Ten Hag has already given the green light for the transfer, but Nunez still needs to be convinced to make the move to Old Trafford this summer.
Unlike in recent seasons, United have not qualified for the Champions League, and this could be a big blow to their transfer prospects.
Aside from Nunez, they have been heavily linked with Barcelona's Frenkie de Jong, but he wants Champions League football at his next club.
