Manchester United have reportedly reached a transfer agreement with Barcelona for midfielder Frenkie de Jong.
The Red Devils have been in constant negotiations with the Catalan giants, and they are now on the verge of landing the midfielder.
An overall package of €85m has been finalised, according to Oriol Domenech, and United now need to convince De Jong over a move.
That may not be a difficult process. While De Jong prefers to stay at Camp Nou, he is said to welcome transfer interest from United.
Meanwhile, he has a superb relationship with manager Erik ten Hag from their Ajax days, and it may not be difficult to persuade him to join.
United ideally want to complete his transfer by Friday such that he is involved during the backend of their pre-season campaign.
Aside from De Jong, United have also stepped up their interest in landing Lisandro Martinez. It will cost around €60m to prise him away from Ajax.
