Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong is prepared to join Chelsea this summer despite the concrete interest from Manchester United.
The Red Devils have agreed a transfer with the Catalan giants for the 25-year-old, but the midfielder is not keen on joining them.
His deferred wages at Barcelona still need to be repaid, but he is also reluctant to join United due to the lack of Champions League football.
Amidst this, Sport claim that De Jong would prefer a move to Stamford Bridge if he were to consider joining a Premier League side.
The Blues have qualified for next season's Champions League by virtue of their third-place finish in the Premier League last season.
Meanwhile, they have also won plenty of European silverware lately. De Jong is said to be enticed by the prospect of signing for them.
Chelsea are yet to make an approach for De Jong, and it could depend on whether they can offload some of their out-of-favour players.
The likes of Ross Barkley and Billy Gilmour may need to make way before the Blues make a genuine attempt to pursue De Jong's services.
