Bruce eyes Wigan safety

Bruce eyes Wigan safety

01 May 2008 - 22:43

Steve Bruce is hoping that Wigan have guaranteed Premiership safety before the final game of the season. Wigan need to secure a result at Aston Villa on Saturday to ensure they are safe.

  • Chelsea ready to pay €75m for Eduardo Camavinga
  • Chelsea planning move for Strasbourg striker Joaquin Panichelli

  • "If it goes down to the final game then we've got to be prepared for that," said Bruce. "We don't want it to, that's for sure, but if needs be, we might have to do it.

"We'll have to prepare in the right way next week, but it'll be nice to put it to bed this weekend.

"We had an opportunity last weekend and didn't take it, but here we are again."
