Arsenal have made an opening bid to sign Villarreal forward Yeremy Pino, according to Spanish sources.
The Gunners are looking to pursue a new right winger this summer. Raphinha was initially their prime transfer target.
They had opened talks for the Brazilian back in June, but ended their pursuit due to his preference to join Barcelona.
It is now reported that the north London club have made an opening bid of around €40m to sign Pino from Villarreal.
However, the proposal has been knocked back by the Spanish outfit. They want at least €60m to sanction his departure.
Aside from the Gunners, Liverpool have also made a similar €40m proposal for Pino, who made 11 goal contributions last term.
The 19-year-old is widely regarded as one of the best young talents in Spain. He signed a new long-term deal in November 2021.
Villarreal don't face any pressure to sell him at the moment, and will only consider bids that meet their transfer valuation.
