Manchester United have no plans of parting ways with Harry Maguire amid the recent transfer interest from Chelsea.
The England international was recently dropped by manager Erik ten Hag against Liverpool with Raphael Varane starting in central defence.
Varane and Lisandro Martinez played a big role in the 2-1 win and the duo are expected to keep their places for Saturday's game at Southampton.
Despite this, Ten Hag is quite clear that Maguire has a big role to play under him. The Dutchman plans to rotate his defenders regularly this term.
With the hectic schedule due to the winter World Cup, Ten Hag wants to work with all four central defenders regularly including Victor Lindelof.
Hence, he has ruled out the possibility of Maguire heading for the exit door.
Instead of Maguire, it will be Eric Bailly leaving the club. He is set to join Marseille on loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the season.
