Arsenal would need to pay in excess of €50 million in order to sign Shakhtar Donetsk attacker Mykhaylo Mudryk, Fabrizio Romano claims.
The Gunners were heavily linked with the 21-year-old in the final days of the summer transfer window, but a deal did not materialise.
The north London giants proposed a fee of around €30 million for the player, but Shakhtar were happy to keep him for another season.
According to Romano, Shakhtar consider Mudryk as a potential star of the future, and currently value him in excess of €50 million.
Aside from the Gunners, Brentford are also firm admirers of the Ukrainian, who scored and assisted twice in the 4-1 win over Leipzig.
Mudryk is a left winger by trade, but he is also capable of operating from the other flank. Arsenal see him as Bukayo Saka's back-up.
It remains to be seen whether they return for his services during the January transfer window. The club definitely need more squad depth.
