Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante has rejected the club's contract offer on the table, according to The Athletic.
The Frenchman has been a mainstay for the Blues over the past six years, but his future with the club is uncertain.
He has entered the final year of his deal, and it is now claimed that he has snubbed the Blues' contract proposal.
The west London giants have offered him a two-year contract with the option to extend his stay for another 12 months.
However, the World Cup winner has rejected the Blues' offer as he wants to commit to a much longer contract.
It remains to be seen whether the club will make a better proposal, considering his injury concerns lately.
Kante has been nursing multiple muscular injuries over the past two years. He is currently out with a hamstring issue.
The Blues still value Kante's presence in the team, but they are also looking into the future and want a suitable successor.
