Chelsea could make a shock approach to swap Romelu Lukaku with Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane next summer.
The Blues re-signed Lukaku from Inter Milan for £97 million last term, but he struggled with just 15 goals across all competitions.
As a result, Lukaku was loaned back to the Nerazzurri this campaign, but the San Siro giants don't have the option to buy him.
Amidst this, Calciomercato report that the Blues could make a surprise attempt to land Kane next summer in exchange for Lukaku.
Lukaku had a superb 2021/22 season under manager Antonio Conte at Inter Milan, but the Italian manager left the club soon after.
Conte, who is now Spurs' manager, could be offered a reunion with the striker. It remains to be seen whether a move materialises.
Kane is currently enjoying his best football under Conte at Spurs, but the striker's contract is due to expire in less than two years.
If a new deal is not agreed by next summer, there could be a genuine possibility of Kane ending his long association with Spurs.
