Chelsea manager Graham Potter is open to the prospect of working with Romelu Lukaku next season, according to ESPN.
The Belgium international rejoined the Blues from Inter Milan for £97m last season, but he scored just 15 goals across all competitions.
Following a rift with manager Thomas Tuchel, he was loaned back to the Nerazzurri this summer, but the Serie A outfit don't have an option to buy.
Lukaku would ideally like to continue in Italy next season, but ESPN report that Potter has not ruled out working with the former Everton man.
The new Blues manager is eyeing another quality striker, but he could be prepared to offer another opportunity for Lukaku to redeem himself.
Lukaku previously complained that Tuchel's tactics did not suit his style and it remains to be seen whether Potter can work to his strengths.
As thing stand, the striker will return to Stamford Bridge next summer, but there are claims that Inter could fancy another temporary deal.
