Arsenal defender William Saliba has acknowledged that talks are underway over a new long-term contract.
The Frenchman had to wait for three years to make his Gunners debut, but he has since been in scintillating form.
He is now an undisputed starter in central defence and the hierarchy will be eager to commit him to a new deal.
Saliba has now confirmed that negotiations are already undergoing with his representative over a possible renewal.
He said: "Yeah, we will see. They talk a little bit [agent and the club]. We will see."
The 21-year-old currently has less than two years left on his contract, and he is in a strong position to negotiate.
Saliba is bound to demand a significant hike on his current wages or else he could push for a possible departure.
The Gunners need to sort out his future before next summer or they may have no choice but to cash in on him.
