Liverpool are reportedly considering a move for Barcelona defender Eric Abidal as the Catalan giants begin a summer clear out of talent.
It is believed that Liverpool are lining up an enormous 10 m GBP offer to land the French defender as they look to seal a left back signing.
Abidal has become frustrated at Barcelona and could be allowed to leave as Laporta hinted at widespread changes.
