Chelsea and Liverpool suffer fresh transfer blow

29 November 2022 - 20:33

Chelsea and Liverpool have suffered a fresh transfer blow with Konrad Laimer set to join Bayern Munich next summer.

  • Man Utd star to sign new contract in next 24 hours
  • Napoli & Atletico want to sign Man Utd star for £24m
  • The Austrian has been a key player for RB Leipzig over the years, but he is expected to leave them when his contract expires in June 2023.

Laimer has been linked with the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool, but Sky Germany claim that he is set to continue in the German top tier.

The 25-year-old has agreed personal terms with Bayern over a long-term contract and the club will announce his arrival in due course.

The news will come as a blow for Chelsea and Liverpool, who have been in regular contact with Laimer's agents to lure him to England.

Chelsea are expected to sign a marquee midfielder next summer as both Jorginho and N'Golo Kante could be leaving on free transfers.

The same can be said for Liverpool. James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could leave when their contracts expire in June 2023.
