Manchester United defender Alex Telles won't play any part for Brazil in the World Cup knock-out stage after suffering a serious knee injury.
The left-back sustained the setback in the shock 1-0 loss to Cameroon. He was in pain when he was substituted before the hour mark.
According to Globo Esporte, the player has since undergone medical examination and the results are very concerning for him.
While Telles has been ruled out of the World Cup with a right knee injury, it is claimed that he may also require a surgery for the same.
The news will come as a huge blow for Telles and United. The Red Devils loaned him out to Sevilla at the beginning of the season.
It had been reported that they could sell him for a decent price next summer, but the injury could now hamper their chances of doing so.
The club will be hoping that Telles can recover as soon as possible.
