Arsenal are reportedly front-runners to re-sign former graduate Ismael Bennacer from AC Milan next year.

The Algerian is set to enter the final 18 months of his contract and has yet to be convinced to pen a new deal with the Rossoneri.

This could pave the way for his departure in January or next summer and it is claimed that he could move to the Premier League.

The 25-year-old has plenty of suitors in the English top-flight and Arsenal are said to be leading the hunt to land his signature.

Bennacer barely played for the Gunners during his time at the club, but he could be tempted to make a comeback in 2023.

The midfielder has been hugely impressive with his tackling and distribution and could be a strong competitor in the squad.

At the moment, Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey are undisputed starters. Bennacer has the chance to break the partnership.

Partey has had a concerning injury record during his time at the club. Bennacer could take advantage if Partey is sidelined.
