Arsenal are reportedly favourites to sign Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix on loan this winter.
The Gunners are eyeing a new striker in the upcoming transfer window following a long-term knee injury for Gabriel Jesus.
Jesus underwent a surgery in the early part of December and reports claim that he may not return to action until the beginning of March.
Hence, Arsenal need quality cover in his position and The Record report that Felix could make the move to the Emirates on loan without a buy clause.
Atletico are prepared to sanction a temporary deal for the Portuguese, provided they receive an £8m loan fee and his wages are paid.
Felix's temporary stay could cost around £15 million, but the Gunners could be prepared to take the risk to boost their league title hopes.
Arsenal are presently five points in front of Manchester City at the top of the standings and may not get a better chance of winning the league.
