Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has reportedly urged Joao Felix to join the Gunners during the ongoing transfer window.
The Portuguese has struggled for regular game time under manager Diego Simeone this term and he is keen to leave Atletico.
The Gunners are one of the clubs interested in him, and The Athletic claim that Partey is playing a key role in the potential move.
Partey spent a season with Felix at Atletico and it is reported that the duo have continued to share a good relationship off the field.
Arsenal are currently looking into a loan deal for the 23-year-old, but they face a major stumbling block in convincing Atletico.
The Spanish giants currently want a staggering loan fee of around €15m while they want his wages to be paid fully as well.
This would amount to around €21m for a six-month loan. Arsenal are unlikely to pay such a fee for the highly-rated star.
A deal depends on Atletico lowering their demands for the player.
