Chelsea have been handed a fresh injury blow with midfielder Denis Zakaria suffering a setback against Fulham.
The Swiss was completely out-of-favour before the World Cup, but he has started every Premier League game after the restart.
However, he is unlikely to continue that streak after suffering a quad injury during yesterday's 2-1 loss to Fulham.
Zakaria was distraught after the untimely blow and the Blues are now expected to provide a timescale for his recovery.
Things don't look good at the moment, but the Swiss will be hoping that he can return to action before the season ends.
Chelsea have the option to buy him from Juventus at the end of the campaign but are yet to decide on what to do.
Zakaria has shown promise during his loan stint, but the latest injury could scupper his chances of sealing a permanent transfer.
The midfielder has become Chelsea's 11th injury casualty. The Blues are currently lying 10th in the league standings.
