The Bournemouth have completed a coup before the end of the January transfer window, having completed a loan deal for Roma player Matias Vina. The Uruguayan will move to England until the end of the season, and the Cherries will pay a reported £1 million to secure the loan deal.
The 25-year-old defender has only appeared seven times for the first team this campaign, with three of those games in Serie A. Last season Vina appeared in a total of 26 Serie A games, but appears to have fallen out of favour with AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho.
Vina's preferred position is as a left-back, and and he has played for Uruguay's national team a total of 28 times since making his debut in 2019.
The 5 foot 9 player began his career with Nacional in his home country, before moving to Brazil with Palmeiras and then eventually making the transfer to Italy.
Jordan Zemura has been playing as left-back for the Cherries this season, and is expected to slip back to the substitutes bench as soon as Vina is available for the first-team.
