Gil Vicente defender Diego Gaucho has been linked with a move to West Ham in the summer. Several Premiership club scouts have been monitoring the progress of the player.

The West Ham target plays in Portugal despite hailing from Brazil and has been impressive this season for his club.



"I recognise that we are in negotiations," Gil Vicente president Fiuza revealed in Portuguese paper A Bola when asked about West Ham's rumoured interest.



"But we will seek the best for the club and for the player."
