Chelsea make transfer decision on Joao Felix

Chelsea are prepared to land Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix on a permanent basis at the end of the campaign.

The Portuguese signed for the Blues on a temporary deal from Atletico last winter but they don\'t have the option to buy him.

Despite this, the west London giants are confident of keeping him and they are ready to discuss his permanent transfer soon.

According to AS, the Blues have already started speaking with Atletico officials and are expected to make a formal bid.

It is added that the La Liga outfit are also prepared to negotiate a fee as the player is not in the plans of manager Diego Simeone.

Felix was a regular on the bench under Simeone in the first half of the season. He is reluctant to work again with the Argentine tactician.

Chelsea may have to pay a fee of £90 million to secure Felix\'s permanent switch. They could finalise a long-term payment plan.
