Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has his sights on signing West Ham United star Declan Rice and Brighton & Hove Albion ace Moises Caicedo this summer.
The Gunners were interested in landing Rice during the January transfer window but the Hammers made it clear that he was not for sale.
Rice was also happy to continue with the east London outfit, considering they were in a precarious position at the tailend of the league table.
Meanwhile, Caicedo wanted to join the Gunners before the January deadline but Brighton snubbed an offer worth £70 million for his services.
It is now reported by The Times that Arteta will be backed with a huge transfer kitty this summer and he is eyeing two midfielders.
The Gunners boss wants to sign Rice and Caicedo for a combined £170m and there could be more spending to bolster other positions.
Arteta is also eyeing a new forward, a creative midfielder and a couple of full-backs before the start of the 2023/24 league season.
