Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has decided against a permanent deal for Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix.
The Portuguese joined the Blues on loan during the January transfer window but barely made an impact for them.
He netted just four goals from 20 games and the Blues have now decided against a permanent transfer for him.
Pochettino was recently appointed as the new manager and the Argentine has no plans of working with the player.
Felix is not someone known for his workrate. With Pochettino's tactics based on high pressing, he does not fit into the system.
It remains to be seen whether Felix will return to the Premier League this summer with another top English outfit.
Arsenal and Manchester United were interested in landing him in January before the Blues won the race for him.
Newcastle United have also been linked. The trio could yet make approaches to land Felix from Atletico.
They could propose a loan deal with a possible buy clause.
