Villarreal striker Nicolas Jackson is undergoing a medical with Chelsea following a transfer agreement between the clubs.
The Senegal international had a terrific end to the 2022/23 season. He scored nine goals from his final eight La Liga appearances.
His brilliant form caught the eye of the Blues, and they have now secured a deal to sign him. The club will pay €37m in several instalments.
Jackson has already arrived in London and is undergoing his medical. He could be confirmed as the Blues' first summer signing soon.
Chelsea are currently in the process of offloading several players and most of their selling spree could be completed by the end of June.
In that way, they can balance their books and keep themselves in a healthy position to spend big on more marquee players this summer.
Despite the signing of Jackson, the Blues are ambitious over purchasing an elite striker such as Victor Osimhen or Randal Kolo Muani.
